Knox Terms Of Use - Dreamscape Crafters

Overview

App: Knox (receipt scanning and organization with optional iCloud sync).
Provider: Dream Scape Crafters (“we”, “us”).
Agreement: These Terms govern your use of the app and services.
Acceptance: By downloading or using Knox, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

Minimum age: You must be at least 13 (or the age required in your region) to use the app.
Authority: If you use Knox on behalf of an entity, you represent you have authority to bind that entity.

License and Ownership

License: We grant you a personal, non‑transferable, revocable, limited license to use Knox on Apple‑authorized devices you own or control.
Restrictions: Do not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works except as allowed by law.
App IP: We retain all rights in the app, trademarks, and content provided by us.

User Content

Your content: You own the receipts and other content you input (“User Content”).
License to us: You grant us a limited, non‑exclusive license to process User Content solely to operate and improve the app (e.g., on‑device processing, sync orchestration). We do not claim ownership.
Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your User Content (accuracy, legality, and backups).

Cloud and Third‑Party Services

iCloud/CloudKit: Optional sync uses Apple CloudKit in your private iCloud storage tied to your Apple ID (e.g., container iCloud.com.techbi.knox). Apple’s terms and privacy apply.
No server storage by us: We do not operate servers that store your receipts. See Privacy Policy for details.
Third‑party terms: Your use of Apple services (and any other integrated services you enable) is subject to their terms and policies.

Privacy

Policy: Our Privacy Policy explains what data the app handles and your choices. By using Knox, you consent to those practices.

Acceptable Use

Lawful use: Do not use Knox for unlawful purposes or to infringe others’ rights.
Prohibited conduct: No attempts to bypass security, interfere with the app, or misuse APIs or sync.
Security: You are responsible for securing your device, passcode, Apple ID, and backups.

Backups and Data Loss

No guarantees: We do not guarantee against data loss. Maintain your own backups (device/iCloud).
Deletion: Deleting the app removes local data; iCloud data must be deleted via Apple settings.

Updates and Availability

Changes: We may modify or discontinue features, issue updates, or require updates for continued use.
Downtime: The app may be unavailable from time to time (e.g., CloudKit outages).

Fees

Disclaimers

AS IS: Knox is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
No advice: Knox does not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice; verify information independently.
Platform reliance: We do not control Apple services; their availability and security are outside our control.

Limitation of Liability

Limits: To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits.
Cap: Our total liability for claims arising from or related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app or USD $10, whichever is greater.
Consumer rights: Some jurisdictions do not allow disclaimers/limits; your rights may vary.

Indemnity

Your promise: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims arising from your use of the app or your User Content, violation of these Terms, or violation of laws or third‑party rights.

Termination

By you: You may stop using the app at any time; delete the app and, if desired, your iCloud data.
By us: We may suspend or terminate access for violations or risks to the app/users. Upon termination, your license ends.

App Store Terms

Apple terms: Your use is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and App Store policies.
Apple as beneficiary: To the extent required by Apple, Apple may be a third‑party beneficiary of these Terms.

Changes to Terms

Updates: We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in‑app or on our site. Continued use means acceptance of the updated Terms.
