Ocie - Terms of Use

Acceptance of Terms

• By downloading, installing, or using Ocie (“App”), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
• If you are using Ocie on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
• If you do not agree, do not use Ocie.

• Permitted Use & User Content
  • Ocie is designed to help you manage your creative content (worlds, stories, characters, etc.).
  • You retain ownership of the content you create, upload, or import into the App (“User Content”).
  • You grant Ocie a limited, non-exclusive license to store, back up, and process User Content solely to provide App features.
  • You must ensure your content and use of the App comply with applicable laws and do not infringe third-party rights.
• Prohibited Conduct
  • Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to access the App’s source code.
• Subscription & Billing
  • Ocie offers a limited free tier and optional premium subscription plans.
  • Pricing, billing cycle, and trial terms are displayed in the App at the point of purchase.
  • Apple processes payments; billing questions should go through Apple Support.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Manage or cancel from your Apple ID account settings.
  • We may change plan prices with advance notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
  • Refund requests are handled under Apple’s App Store policies.
• Availability & Updates
  • We aim to keep Ocie available and functioning but provide no guarantee of uninterrupted service.
  • The App may change, evolve, or terminate features without prior notice.
  • We may release patches or updates automatically; continued use permits us to deliver and install these updates.
• Data & Privacy
  • Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.
  • Cloud sync (if enabled) may require storing User Content on third-party infrastructure; we take reasonable steps to protect it.
  • You are responsible for maintaining backup copies of critical User Content.
• Intellectual Property
  • Ocie, including its design, branding, and underlying technology, is owned by Dreamscape Crafters.
  • You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or organizational worldbuilding purposes.
  • All trademarks, logos, and service marks remain the property of their respective owners.
• Feedback
  • Suggestions or improvements you submit may be used by Ocie without obligation, and you waive claims to compensation for such feedback.
• Termination
  • You may stop using Ocie at any time. To terminate your subscription, cancel via your Apple ID account settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or engage in harmful conduct.
  • Upon termination, your license ends. Some provisions (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.
• Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
  • Ocie is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted service.
  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App or subscription during the preceding 12 months.
• Indemnity
  • You agree to indemnify and hold Ocie harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.
• Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence unless local law requires otherwise.
  • Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where consumer protection laws provide other rights.
• Changes to Terms
  • We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated via the App or email.
  • Continued use after changes take effect signifies acceptance of the updated Terms.
